Rating/Review System

We do things a little differently here at Woefully Reviewed. Our rating system isn't something as simple as stars. We go in order of Woe.

Example: Your book gets a rating of "Dismal." This is equivalent to a 4-star rating, which you think isn't bad. Because hey, 4 stars!

Not quite. You see, 4 on Woefully Reviewed is what would be a 2 on most other review sites. Your rating on WR is based on how badly your book annoyed us/how much it made us want to scream/how many bottles of vodka poor Inga had to go through to make it through your opus/how many times Lisa had to go to the bathroom to throw up. You get it.

But if you don't, here's how it works:

5 - Bitchtastic. This is the Highest Annoyance Score we give here on WR. This means your book went beyond suck. This score isn't all that surprising to earn, so you'll likely see it a lot.

4.5 - Agonizing

4 - Dismal

3.5 - Cheerless

3 - Funereal

2.5 - Sullen

2 - Miserable

1.5 - Gloomy

1 - Pathetic

0.5 - Woeful. This is the Least Annoyance Score we give here on WR. This means your book was actually somewhat tolerable/has potential/didn't want to make us harm ourselves or others (namely you, the author).
